We’re SeQuential. We collect used cooking oil, refine it into biodiesel and bioproducts, and then refuel our communities. We are the longest-running commercial biodiesel producer on the West Coast, and thanks to relationships with great partners we’ve become what we are today- an innovative, conscientious maker of local, responsible, bioproducts that’s helping build a better energy model for the future.
Our corporate headquarters is in Portland, Oregon, and we have 11 locations from as far north as Seattle, Washington, to as far south as El Monte, California. Geographically we span a large footprint, but our clear sense of mission and values allows us to operate cohesively.
We are looking to add to our Human Resources team. Due to rapid growth, we need another set of hands on deck to join our close-knit team at our Northwest Portland office.
This position would be responsible for keeping our HR team organized. That includes taking minutes at department meetings, coordinating logistics, and making sure action items and deadlines don’t get forgotten.
Additionally, we are hoping to find someone who has excellent proofreading and writing skills. You’d be tackling some writing and editing projects, making sure that documents are succinct and uniform. To be successful in this function, you should have a good handle on grammar, and be comfortable editing and proofreading a variety of different types of documents.
Beyond keeping the department well-written and on track, this person would also cover some administrative needs. That could range from regular file maintenance, to supporting our open enrollment activities, to working on an assortment of other projects.
This position is a great opportunity to get your feet wet in the HR or take your career to the next level and learn about all aspects of the field. Our department has a wealth of knowledge and exciting programs to gain experience from. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow with the organization, but already has strong organizational and written communication skills.
We are hoping to find a candidate with close to immediate availability, but we are willing to work with the right person if you need to transition out of a current project.
